FAQ & Entry Terms

 Are tickets refundable?

All ticket sales are final.

Velvet Society does not offer refunds for change of mind, inability to attend, personal circumstances, incorrect ticket selection, failure to read event information, or failure to meet entry requirements.

Refunds will only be provided where required under New Zealand law.

Does buying a ticket guarantee entry?

No.

Velvet Society is a curated private event community. Purchasing a ticket does not automatically guarantee entry unless your profile, application, and attendance have been approved by Velvet Society.

Entry remains subject to approval, venue requirements, security checks, dress code, behaviour standards, and compliance with our event terms.

Who can attend Velvet Society events?

Velvet Society events are for approved adults only.

All guests must be 18 years or older and may be required to provide valid photo ID on arrival. The name on your ticket, application, or membership profile must match your ID.

Velvet Society reserves the right to decline applications or refuse entry where a guest does not align with the event criteria, community standards, safety requirements, or approval process.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Tickets may not be transferred, resold, gifted, or passed on to another person without prior written approval from Velvet Society.

All attendees must be approved individually. If an unapproved person attempts to attend using another person’s ticket, entry may be refused and no refund will be provided.

What happens if I am refused entry?

Velvet Society reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest who does not meet our event standards, dress code, approval requirements, safety requirements, or behaviour expectations.

No refund will be provided where entry is refused due to intoxication, aggressive behaviour, disrespectful conduct, false information, breach of event rules, inappropriate clothing, failure to provide valid ID, or failure to comply with staff, host, venue, or security instructions.

     What is the dress code?

Velvet Society encourages elegance, confidence, individuality, and self-expression.

Guests are expected to dress in a way that reflects the atmosphere of the event. Clothing that is offensive, discriminatory, unsafe, excessively dirty, heavily damaged, or inappropriate for the event may result in refused entry.

Final dress code decisions are at the discretion of Velvet Society, venue staff, and security.

      What behaviour is expected?

Respect, consent, discretion, and personal boundaries are essential at every Velvet Society event.

Any behaviour that makes another guest feel unsafe, pressured, harassed, disrespected, or uncomfortable may result in immediate removal from the event and exclusion from future Velvet Society experiences.

Consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn at any time. No pressure. No harassment. No entitlement. No exceptions.

     Is photography or filming allowed?

Photography, filming, livestreaming, or sharing content involving other guests is not permitted without clear consent.

Privacy is central to Velvet Society. Any guest who breaches another person’s privacy may be removed from the event and may be banned from future events.
